New WandaVision Mid-Season Trailer Hints At a Major Turn in the Show

Disney Plus released the mid-season trailer for WandaVision, which doesn't just reveal hints for episode 5 but a bit for the rest of the season. While there are no major plot twists in the trailer, if you've been enjoying the suspense of the show, I'd recommend skipping it. But if you're like me and have little patience, then get ready for a ride.

While the first three episodes of WandaVision let us follow the old TV sitcom-inspired lives of Wanda and Vision, episode 4 showed us what's been happening on the outside of the life that the two Avengers (or maybe really, one) has created.

Though many of us already knew, we now have confirmation that the town of Westview, New Jersey, doesn't actually exist. We saw firsthand how Monica Rambeau, though up until episode 4, she was known as Geraldine, was sucked into the sort-of alternate reality. The town is surrounded by a barrier that is supposed to stop people from entering; hence, the police officers not noticing the "Welcome to Westview" sign. Now, why were Monica and Agent Woo able to see it? That's a question I hope is answered in episode 5.

It would seem, especially after the way Wanda threw Monica out of the town when she started to gain back some of her memory, that everything happening in this town is the work of Wanda Maximoff. Because I'm prepared for Marvel to throw me a curveball, I don't know if I'm convinced Wanda is responsible for everything happening as we see it. Though it's very plausible this is all her way of grieving the loss of Vision due to the events of Infinity War, there's still a lot of mystery, and I can't help but feel like something else is at play.
