Eddie Murphy is back in 'Coming 2 America' but...he needs a male heir?

The king has returned! After 32-years, Eddie Murphy returns as the newly-crowned King of Zamunda in "Coming 2 America".

The sequel to the 1988 classic about an African prince named Akeem (Eddie Murphy) who travels to Queens to find his Queen is almost here. After marrying the love of his life, Lisa McDowell (Shari Headley), in the first movie, the two become King and Queen of the fictional nation of Zamunda.

The only thing now is that Akeem needs an heir, and according to his father, it has to be a male heir. The movie's plot revolves around Akeem, traveling back to America to find his son that he allegedly had with a one night stand. Even though he and Lisa had a daughter, the heir to the throne apparently has to be a boy. I'm hoping for several things here:

  1. This "son" isn't really his but is the son of his friend/personal aide Semmi (Arsenio Hall), who pretended to be the heir to the throne in the first movie.

  2. That Akeem's daughter with Lisa, played by Kiki Layne, will rightfully be seen as the heir to the throne by the end of the movie. I mean, no disrespect to the former king of Zamunda, but if Akeem will be the new king, why can't he change the rules?
